16 days!!

The countdown is on! In 16 days, I will be flying to Spain for a summer of adventures. As much as I wish I could say that I'm just going to explore and play for 6 weeks, there is actually more a purpose for making this journey. For years, I have wanted to learn to speak Spanish and for years, I have tried on my own and have never really been successful. In middle school and high school, I took Latin (nerdy, I know) but I never quite got the chance to learn Spanish.

This summer, I will be living in Barcelona and Valencia to take Spanish immersion classes and finally learn to speak Spanish in one of the most beautiful countries in the world!

For the first four weeks, I will be in Barcelona with my brother (who will also be taking classes), and then the last two weeks will be spent in Valencia. And since I'm already across the ocean, I figured why not stop in Paris on my way home?! I'm SO excited for what this summer has in store for me!

Since Barcelona is first on the travel plans, I decided to do a "Top 10" things/places I want to see there. Let's start with #10...

10. Picasso Museum - I'm not a huge fan of museums but I do love to learn new things and definitely plan to visit this one!

9. Tibidabo - Who wouldn't love an amusement park overlooking such a beautiful city?!

8. Montserrat - This will be fun to explore for a day! Located just outside Barcelona, it looks like a very beautiful place to take an excursion!

7. Port Olympic

6. Barcelona Beaches - I think I will be spending a lot of time here! I love the beach!

5. Casa Mila - Such a unique piece of architecture!

4. Las Ramblas - I think many days/nights will be spent strolling down this amazing part of town!

3. Montjuic - This will be a nice, little afternoon trip!

2. Park Guell - A park/garden designed by Antoni Gaudi... it looks so neat! I can't wait to see more of his architecture!

1. Sagrada Familia - I can't wait to tour this fantastic church and hopefully attend a mass in it! Maybe it's just me but the Sagrada Familia totally reminds me of a drip castle I used to make at the beach!

I'm so excited for this trip! It will truly be a once in a lifetime experience! Now, it's time to start thinking about what to pack!

Love,
